RA.BID.ART is the art of Brooke "Ra" Casey (she/they). Ra earned their AFA at Rowan College of South Jersey (previously Cumberland County College) in 2018. Her work began completely handmade, using printmaking techniques and second-hand fabric. Nowadays, her work is an happy mix of handmade and manufactured, still utilizing sustainability and that handmade flare whenever possible. Her designs are bold and humorous, featuring strongly silhouetted creatures, anti-establishment commentary, and pride for her birthplace of New Jersey. Anime, manga, and videogames fueled her passion for art as a young teen and continue to influence her creative process. She resonates most with misunderstood monsters and the anarchic nature of cats. You can find their work all over the country at your favorite art markets and conventions.
